Mee t The Owners
When we got engaged back in 2011, we began looking for the perfect venue for our wedding. I am originally from Antlers and my husband from Quinton, so we were looking for somewhere central for both of our worlds to come together for our big day. Every venue that we fell in love with though was either in Tulsa or Oklahoma City, and we just didn't want our friends and families to have to travel that far. We had recently purchased a home on Massey Pointe that had amazing views of Lake Eufaula, but never imagined getting married there until my parents said they would build us a deck off the back of the home for our wedding as a wedding gift... I'm sure my dad never imagined 5 years later what he would be helping build next!! After our wedding we hosted a few more weddings for friends and families and then in 2015 we decided to branch more into the Venue side of things.. we first began just hosting weddings on the deck and receptions on the front lawn but we soon discovered that the property needed more... that is where the dreams of the barn were born. It took me a minute to convince my husband that this was a good idea but like many times before, it didn't take much (5 weddings under contract before we even broke ground )for him to realize this crazy dream could be a reality.. so we set out to look for the perfect spot and the perfect combination of rustic yet modern design for our future barn. Being a private resident venue we knew that we would need to build a barn that would make brides feel like they were getting married in their own backyard and not just ours.. we added an upstairs grooms loft along with an in house bridal suite so the wedding party could have all the amenities that they would need on site so when they arrived they would not need to leave... our home is kind of off of the beaten path but that to me is what makes it feel so special. Its secluded out here.. away from the daily bustle. The stars at night reflecting off of the lake are just breath taking.. you cant get that any where else. We are excited for the future of The Pointe and the addition of The Cedar Henge Barn and we are hoping that we can bring business back local by giving brides an experience that they would get in Tulsa or OKC but only having to drive 15 minutes from home. We love the relationships we have made with our brides and love that we get to witness the fairy tales come to life every weekend. We look forward to meeting you and getting to experience in your big day as well.
